ESET SysRescue Live is a free utility that allows you to create a bootable rescue CD/DVD or USB Drive. You can boot an infected computer from your rescue media to scan for malware and clean infected files.
It has direct access to the disk and the file system, and therefore is capable of removing the most persistent threats.
The main advantage of ESET SysRescue Live is the fact that it runs independent of the host operating system, but has direct access to the disk and file system. This makes it possible to remove threats that under normal operating conditions might be impossible to delete (for example, when the operating system is running, etc.).

Create a rescue USB or CD/DVD
- Download ESET SysRescue Live CD/USB creator and save it to your Desktop.
- Double-click the ESET Live CD/USB Creator
icon to run the utility.
- Select Create USB drive or Create CD/DVD depending on the type of media you want to create. For this example we will create a USB flash drive.
- Select the USB flash drive or CD/DVD that you want to create your rescue disk on and click Create USB drive or Create CD/DVD.
- Click Yes when prompted. ESET SysRescue will begin creating your rescue media and a progress indicator bar will be displayed at the bottom of the window.
- Click Close if you do not require more than one copy of this rescue disk. If you want to create multiple copies of this rescue disk, click Save ISO file and then click Close.
