Linux Mint 9 Xfce released!

Linux Mint is an Ubuntu-based distribution whose goal is to provide a more complete out-of-the-box experience by including browser plugins, media codecs, support for DVD playback, Java and other components. It also adds a custom desktop and menus, several unique configuration tools, and a web-based package installation interface. Linux Mint is compatible with Ubuntu software repositories.

The team is proud to announce the release of Linux Mint 9 Xfce. Based on Xubuntu 10.04 'Lucid Lynx', Linux 2.6.32, Xfce 4.6.1 and X.Org 7.4, Linux Mint 9 'Isadora' Xfce features a lot of improvements and the latest software from the open-source world. Upgrade instructions:

• To upgrade from a previous version of Linux Mint follow these instructions.
• To upgrade from Linux Mint 9 Xfce RC, simply apply any level 1 and 2 updates (if any) available in the Update Manager.
